New Years Eve In A Box!
and on A budget
New Years Eve doesn't have to break the bank!!
If you saw the interview on Channel 14 then you know that
with less than $100.00 you can plan the perfect Fete
The New Years Eve in a Box Recipe for Success

1. A Plain palette - start with a black or white linen and work in a signature color that
you can tailor everything around.

2. Do go to the Christmas section where everything has been marked down at least 75%
off and choose a shocking red or a metallic gold either silver that screams fun,
festivities, New year. Use this color to compliment your black or white palette. You can
pick up cones, Large Bows, Beading and Christmas ornaments and fill them in a vase.

Instead of buying hats ask your guests to bring their own New Years Eve hat that they
created or make an area where they can create a hat using New Years Eve newspapers,
Construction paper and any art supplies you may be able to find .

3. Pick up a Christmas Box covered in felt or a paper design that brings your colors
together (They have these at Party City and at Dollar tree ) and use this for your
entertainmenet. add a sign made from printing off a simple word document in your
signature color that says:
Put your New years Resolution here. Add items from 2009 such as articles from the
News paper or pictures of past event so that your guests can look back in history
before writing down their new goals and placing them in a box.

4. Do use fun comfort foods that you can make fancy. A  great example is  Macaroni &
cheese. Our personal chef recomends using white american cheese and individualizing
each serving in either shot glasses and or minature bowls to compliment a Rosemary
Chicken skewer with pineapples and 1 cherry tomato.

5. Dessert should be exciting so we suggest buying a Rocky Road Ice cream and or Red
Velvet - at least 2 to 3 flavors (again to match your color scheme ) and using different
size spoons to place one scoop on each spoon for each guests then offer chopped nuts
or sprinkles for them. It makes a simple dessert and adds conversation.

6. Drinks - We recommend a signature cocktail - you can even name it - The 2010 and
that will reduce teh costs of money that you will have to spend on alcohol and add an
exciting opportunity for guests to figure out the ingredients for 2010!!! Do remember
sweet tea, a flavored lemonade with sliced lemons or strawberries and bottled water.

7. The Midnight hour- Go for something that your guests will remember like sparklers .
Place them all in a basket of any kind near a sign that says "a Sparkling Farewell" or
simply get 20 balloons blown up in your signature color, 1 for each guests and at the
midnight hour everyone can release everything they experienced in 2009 and expect
amazing things for 2009.

Although paper products are fun within this $100 budget you can go elegant and rent
fine china for .35-50 cents a piece!
